Establishment of the department : 1982-83
Statistics course was started in 1982.The department has completed 30 years. Prof. Bidwe N.B. an eminent and experienced Associate Professor, was the first head of the department. Prof. Waingade S.M and Dr. Jadhav Omprakash also, contributed for the development of Statistics. Department faculty doing research in the various fields. Research papers, books are published in reputed national, international journals and Conferences.

FUTURE PLANS
To arrange computer literacy program for students.
Increase Success rate of the Students in the Competitive examination like Staff Selection Commission, Planning and Health Department, Ministry of State Department, Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
